WHY I BUILT IT

A practical tool, built from experience

I originally built this after experiencing how frustrating it can be to keep checking the municipality appointment website for an available slot. As a software engineer, I built a small tool to do the checking automatically. I’m now testing whether it can help other people in The Hague too.

Independent monitoring service

The Hague Appointment Alert is an independent service and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Gemeente Den Haag.

It monitors publicly available appointment availability. You always complete the booking yourself through the official municipality website.

FAQ

Common questions

Does this book the appointment for me?

No. The service only alerts you when availability appears. You still book directly through the official Gemeente Den Haag website.

Can you guarantee I will get an appointment?

No. Availability can change quickly and another person may book the slot before you do.

Which appointments do you support?

The checker currently supports:

  • Register again in the BRP — already has BSN
  • First BRP registration — Dutch citizen
  • First BRP registration — EU / EEA / Swiss citizen
  • First BRP registration — residence permit holder
Does this work for international student registration?

No. The municipality uses a separate registration and appointment system for international students, which the alert does not currently monitor.

How will I receive alerts?

Through Telegram. During early-access setup, you provide the details needed to receive your alerts.

Is this an official Gemeente Den Haag service?

No. This is an independent service and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Gemeente Den Haag.
